Equipment checks

Equipment included by us is checked for condition and suitability before use. Specialist activities are operated only after the required activity-specific equipment and arrangements are confirmed.

Conditions can change

Weather, water levels, trail conditions, permits, and access can change quickly. We support a safe route change, delay, or cancellation when continuing would be unreasonable.

Responsible travel

We ask every group to minimise waste, respect local communities, follow site rules, and leave campsites and trails as clean as reasonably possible.

Appropriate activity partners

For specialist activities delivered by another operator, we confirm the operating provider, activity requirements, and applicable permissions or safety arrangements before the booking is completed.

Provide accurate age, fitness, medical, allergy, medication, and emergency-contact information relevant to the activity.
Bring the required clothing, footwear, personal medication, identification, and documents.
Attend the safety briefing, use protective equipment correctly, and follow operational instructions.
Speak up early about pain, illness, altitude symptoms, fear, equipment concerns, or any situation that feels unsafe.
Avoid alcohol, illegal drugs, and behaviour that could endanger you, the group, local people, or the environment.

Safety does not mean zero risk.

Mountains, rivers, roads, weather, altitude, and remote locations involve risks that cannot be completely removed. A route, activity, view, or summit is never guaranteed. The safest decision may be to wait, turn around, use an alternative, or cancel.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend insurance appropriate to the altitude and activity, including medical care, evacuation, personal accident, trip cancellation, and baggage. Confirm that trekking or the relevant adventure activity is not excluded from your policy.
