Designed for experienced hikers, this route offers a challenging, wilderness-focused alternative to the standard trek, culminating in the adventurous climb to the 12,073 ft Chandrashila summit.
Fitness Requirements
To comfortably complete this long journey trek, participants should have good physical fitness and stamina.
Trekkers should be able to:
- Walk 6–8 km daily on mountain terrain with gradual and steep ascents
- Manage multiple trekking days with backpack support
- Maintain stamina for long walking hours in changing weather conditions
- Adapt to high-altitude trekking and outdoor camping conditions
Prior trekking experience is helpful but not mandatory if you maintain strong basic fitness.
We recommend preparing at least 3–4 weeks before the trek with:
- Brisk walking or jogging (4–5 km daily)
- Stair climbing practice
- Cycling or light cardio workouts
- Basic stretching and breathing exercises
